Oz Mobile Suits

Here are profiles on Oz Suits including Tallgeese

Tallgeese

Specifications:

Classification: mobile suit
Model number: OZ-00MS
Head height: 17.4 meters
Dry weight: 8.8 tons
Armor materials: titanium alloy
Armament: dobergun x 1
beam saber x 2

Ability Levels:

Fighting ability: level 100
Weapons ability: level 110
Speed ability: level 150
Power ability: level 130
Armored ability: level 120

This twenty-year-old museum piece was the first military mobile suit, and is the common ancestor of both the Gundams and Oz's own mobile suits. Oz deemed the prototype Tallgeese too expensive to mass-produce and too hard to pilot, so the design was simplified and scaled down to create the standard Leo. As a result, the Tallgeese's specifications are superior to those of most modern mobile suits, and this mothballed prototype is the only thing in Oz's arsenal capable of fighting a Gundam. However, its high acceleration and instability make flying the Tallgeese hazardous for even the best of pilots.

Tallgeese

Aires

ARIES

Specifications:

Classification: mobile suit
Model number: OZ-07AMS
Head height: 16.9 meters
Dry weight: 8.0 tons
Armor materials: titanium alloy
Armament: chain rifle x 1
Options missile pods

Ability Levels:

Fighting ability: level 100
Weapons ability: level 110
Speed ability: level 110
Power ability: level 90
Armored ability: level 90

Able to transform into a flight mode for aerial travel, this jet-propelled mobile suit is a favorite of Oz pilots. Other than its ability to fly, the Aries is fairly unremarkable. Its usual armament consists of a chain rifle and optional missile pods, which can be stowed on pylons underneath its wings.

Leo

LEO

Specifications:

Classification: mobile suit
Model number: OZ-06MS
Head height: 16.2 meters
Dry weight: 7.0 tons
Armor materials: titanium alloy
Armament: 105mm rifle x 1
Options beam rifle
beam scythe x 1
dobergun
beam saber
bazooka

Ability Levels:

Fighting ability: level 100
Weapons ability: level 100
Speed ability: level 100
Power ability: level 100
Armored ability: level 100

The Leo is the standard mobile suit of both the Earth Alliance, and the elite Specials taskforce that serves as a camouflage for Oz. Though it's unremarkable in every respect, and certainly no match for a Gundam, the Leo is highly adaptable. Numerous variations exist, including a space version, a model armed with shoulder cannons, a high mobility type capable of short-distance flight, and the "early type" which remains in service in China. Usually armed with a 105mm machine gun, the Leo can also use a beam rifle, a heavy bazooka, or a powerful shell-firing cannon called a "dobergun."

Tragos

Tragos

Specifications:

Classification: mobile suit
Model number: OZ-07MS
Head height: 13.8 meters
Dry weight: 7.7 tons
Armor materials: titanium alloy
Armament: beam rifle x 1
Options cannon x 2

Ability Levels:

Fighting ability: level 90
Weapons ability: level 110
Speed ability: level 110
Power ability: level 110
Armored ability: level 110

A spinoff of the Leo, this squat mobile suit can transform into an agile hovercraft. It usually carries a pair of shoulder-mounted cannons, further increasingly its resemblance to a tank. Though the Tragos might seem to break from Oz's tradition of naming mobile suits after Zodiac signs, its name means "goat" in Greek, making it a substitute for Capricorn.

Pisces

Pisces

Specifications:

Classification: mobile suit
Model number: OZ-09MMS
Head height: 16.0 meters
Dry weight: 7.4 tons
Armor materials: titanium alloy
Armament: torpedo launcher x 12

Ability Levels:

Fighting ability: level 90
Weapons ability: level 110
Speed ability: level 100
Power ability: level 100
Armored ability: level 100

More humanoid than the Cancer, the aquatic Pisces is endowed with stubby legs and makeshift hands, allowing it to perform manual labor and other non-combat tasks. It can transform into a streamlined, submarine-style cruising mode.

Cancer

CANCER

Specifications:

Classification: mobile suit
Model number: OZ-08MMS
Head height: 16.9 meters
Dry weight: 8.2 tons
Armor materials: titanium alloy
Armament: torpedo launcher x 4

Ability Levels:

Fighting ability: level 90
Weapons ability: level 100
Speed ability: level 110
Power ability: level 110
Armored ability: level 100

The least humanoid of Oz's mobile suits, the legless Cancer is effectively a submarine with claws. Its pincers contain torpedo launchers, allowing the Cancer to grapple its foes and then fire its torpedoes at point-blank range.

Taurus

Taurus

Specifications:

Classification: mobile suit
Model number: OZ-12SMS
Head height: 16.8 meters
Dry weight: 7.9 tons
Armor materials: titanium alloy
Armament: beam rifle x 1
beam cannon

Ability Levels:

Fighting ability: level 100
Weapons ability: level 110
Speed ability: level 125
Power ability: level 110
Armored ability: level 110

The sleek black Taurus, whose fins and wings are reminiscent of a manta ray, is Oz's next-generation space mobile suit. Fast and maneuverable, it can transform into a streamlined cruising mode, and is designed to carry a powerful beam cannon capable of crippling a Gundam. The Taurus also has a bonus feature known as the mobile doll system.

Virgo

Virgo

The Virgo unit was designed to be a mobile doll from the outset. Operation Nova saw OZ bringing mas produced Virgos to earth to stage a hostile takeover.

Weapons: The Virgo packs a beam cannon similar to Vayeate's. It is capable of doing much damage to opposition. It also has the magnetic shield. OZ used a good tactic in Virgo mass production. A group of three Virgo dolls can stand back to back, and the three magnetic shields can combine into one ;arge nearly impenitrable shield. Virgo dolls can have strategic programs loaded onto them making them battle with human capabilites.

Pros/Cons: The fact that Virgo was designed to be a doll kind of makes you refuse to like the suit, but it is an effective one none the less. Because of their mass production, they can be moved in large forces and are difficult to stop. However, they are slower then Vayeate's, and rely on their cannons too much.

Virgo 2

Name: Virgo II Mobile Doll
Pilot: None, Mobile Doll
Height: 16.3 Meters
Weight: 7.5 Tons
Model Number: OZ-03MD
Fighting Ability: 150
Weapons Ability: 145
Speed Ability: 125
Power Ability: 110
Armor Ability: 120
Total Abilities: 650
Armor Materials: Gundanium Alloy

Armaments: 1x beam rifle; 8x planet defensor
Optional Armaments: 1x beam cannon

Information: The Virgo II is an upgrade from the Virgo. It dumped the built in beam cannon (not optional), and doubled the planet defensors. These suits have something similar to the ZERO system that controls them. A person stands in a room with a helmet on, and then controls the dolls. This randomizes the attacks, making these suits more deadly. The original plans didn't have the ZERO system, Zechs scrapped the doll system since he thought it would not do very well.

Tallgeese 2

Tallgeese II
piloted by: Treize Khushrenadah

The Tallgeese II was built and piloted by Treize Khushrenadah. It seems he had a talent for these things. Although his first suit, the Epyon, is a far greater suit.

Weapons: The Tallgeese II has one dober gun and two beam sabres. The gun is capable of much damage, but Treize is more into the chivilrus beam sabres. Those are the weapons he mainly used in TG II's first and ony battle against the Gundam Altron.

Pros/Cons: There's something about the TG II that makes it seem weaker then the original. It does have a better color scheme though. There aren't really any visible weaknesses with the TG II, but like it's predecessor, it seems to lack certain abilites to fight the newer model Gundams. It is a fine suit though.

Mercurius

Name: Mercurius
Pilot: Heero Yuy (in episode 45 Heero's data)
Model Number: OZ-13MSX2
Height: 16.3 Meters
Weight: 7.3 Tons
Fighting Ability: 150
Weapons Ability: 100
Speed Ability: 125
Power Ability: 130
Armor Ability: 130
Total Abilities: 635
Armor Materials: Gundanium Alloy

Armaments: 1x beam gun; 1x crash shield; 10x planet defensor

Info: Like its counterpart the Vayeate, the Mercurius is a very interesting Mobile Suit. The Gundam Scientists thought out the construction and designs of these two Mobile Suits very well. The Vayeate is suited for long distance battles while the Mercurius excels in close range combat. Working in a tandem with the Vayeate it proves to be a very deadly Mobile Suit. This was showed when Heero and Trowa took on Quatre in the Wing Zero. The Mercurius is a great short range fighter. Its Crash Shield is a shield and Beam Saber in one. The beam that shoots out of it is larger than the average beam saber. Its planet defensors are its coolest feature since it protects it from all Beam Weapons. When it deploys all ten of them it can survive a hit even from the Vayeates beam cannon. Its Beam Gun is very weak and is met for close range combat. I find this to be a very interesting Mobile Suit along with the Vayeate since these two really pioneered the way for the next wave of Mobile Suits and Gundams.

Vayeate

Name: Vayeate
Pilot: Trowa Barton (In episode 45 Trowa's data)
Model Number: OZ-13MSX1
Height: 16.3 Meters
Weight: 7.3 Tons
Fighting Ability: 110
Weapons Ability: 160
Speed Ability: 125
Power Ability: 110
Armor Ability: 130
Armor Materials: Gundanium Alloy

Armaments: 1x shield; 1x beam cannon

Notes: The Vayeate has almost the same gun as the Wing Gundam. The black thing on its back feeds power to the gun. There are indents toward the tip of the gun that serve as vents, allowing the gun to fire repeatedly. Tallgeese III has this gun too, but it can charge up it's gun, the Vayeate cannot, so the Tallgeese III's gun is not the same as Wing Gundam's. The Vayeate also has a secondary fire on the beam cannon that the Wing Gundam does not have. But the primary beam fire is the same as Wing Gundams. I find this Suit to be quite interesting.
